Even in the midst of all of the controversy about his UFC fight, WWE RAW selected Brock Lesnar No. 8 overall in the WWE Draft

Brock Lesnar certainly is embroiled in a bit of controversy right now to put it lightly. The “multi-sport athlete” was pinged twice for a positive test with the USADA leading up to his UFC 200 bout with Mark Hunt. Now the questions are swirling about his future not just in MMA, but also his future in WWE considering their Wellness Policy. Moreover, many fans wondered how the wrestling company would handle such a thing in the WWE Draft on Smackdown Live.

As it turns out, WWE just chose to not particularly mention it really at all. Instead, they proceeded like nothing major at all had happened and selected him in the top-10 of the WWE Draft.

To be specific, Brock Lesnar was drafted with the No. 8 overall pick in the WWE Draft, joining the WWE RAW brand:

After going at No. 8 to WWE RAW and Monday nights, Lesnar joins the likes of Seth Rollins, Charlotte, Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, and then The New Day were selected after him.

If you’re looking at the WWE Draft analytically, Lesnar is an interesting pick considering his status within the company. Not only is there the positive USADA test, but he’s also a part-timer in the company that does take long stretches off from active wrestling. As such, The Beast is an intriguing selection at No. 8.
