Training camp has officially begun in the NFL and for the rookies of the league, it’s a time to try to show the veterans of the team why you belong in the league. It’s also unseasonably warm with the summer weather rolling around and with the day-to-day struggles of having to hit the same guy over and over, tensions will rise.
Fights aren’t uncommon in training camp and on Monday, Miami Dolphins first-round pick Laremy Tunsil was involved in a fight of his own. It turns out that he isn’t the only first-round pick to get involved in a dust-up on Monday.
According to Matt Vensel, Minnesota Vikings first-round pick Laquon Treadwell got in a scrap of his own with Jabari Price.
While no coach wants to see their players fighting on the field, it is a thing that happens in the heat in training camp. Everyone is fighting for their jobs and the stakes are even higher going up against a counterpart.
The good news is that fights typically don’t last long and players are usually cool with each other by the end of the day. It’s just par for the course for the season and Treadwell certainly won’t be the only one rolling around on the ground with other players.
