Here’s everything you need to know about the Olympics bronze-medal match between Nigeria and Honduras on Saturday, Aug. 20.

For the minnows of the tournament, Honduras have had an impressive run to make the knockout stages altogether. They then shocked everyone with a 1-0 win over South Korea to ensure that they would be in the last four. That, however, was where the dream ended.

Facing a Brazil team just beginning to peak, Honduras were smashed for six. Their dream is not over though, as they still have a bronze medal to play for, and while Honduras will be seen as heavy underdogs, they have handled such a tag wonderfully thus far.

The team they face will have the aspirations and expectations of an entire nation on its shoulders. Nigeria have been dubbed the ‘Dream Team’ by their national media, and hopes were high after a comfortable group stage which saw them qualify in first position. They then saw past Denmark with a consummate 2-0 win but came up short by the same scoreline when faced with a quality German side.

Nigeria, hedlined by Jon Obi-Mikel as one of their three over 23 players, will be the favorites to secure third place and that bronze medal. Honduras, though, should be discounted at your peril. They have a tendency to crash the party, and could well do once again.
