Tennessee, Miami, and Houston are no longer undefeated while Washington, Michigan and Texas A&M are the big risers in the FanSided Top 25 entering Week 7.

Remember all those good things we said about North Carolina and Colorado this past week? Yeah, you can basically throw all of that out the window as both teams suffered losses over the weekend. UNC took one of the biggest losses getting blown out by Virginia Tech at home.

If that wasn’t the biggest loss of the weekend, surely Houston losing to Navy was because it ends their pursuit of a College Football Playoff berth. Also falling from the ranks of the unbeaten were Tennessee and Miami.

It wasn’t all bad across the college landscape this week as we saw Washington and Michigan score at least 70 points in wins over Oregon and Rutgers, respectively.

Those teams are the biggest movers in this week’s Top 25 but we begin with the Navy Midshipmen who pulled off one of the biggest wins in program history with the upset over Tom Herman’s Houston team.

To be honest, I had Navy’s game with Houston circled on the calendar at the start of the season. I figured that if there was one game that might give Houston some issues on its road to the College Football Playoff, it would be a trip to Annapolis to face Navy.

With the hot start Houston had with impressive wins, I figured that Houston would probably beat Navy and I would just look towards the showdown with Houston and Louisville. Boy was I wrong! With Navy’s upset of Houston, this now pushed the Midshipmen into the “Group of 5” at-large discussion when it comes to the New Years Six. Navy’s rebuilding year has become a contending year in less than two months.

At the beginning of the season, most pegged Auburn to be one of the casualties of the SEC West. With a season-opening loss to Clemson and then a loss to Texas A&M just a few weeks later, the Tigers were basically left for dead. In just a few weeks Auburn now finds themselves in the FanSided 25 after an impressive win against Mississippi State on Saturday.

I know Mississippi State isn’t good (they’re terrible) but it’s good to see that Auburn can bounce back from early season struggles. Next week they’ll face an Arkansas team in what could be their biggest test of the season so far.
