The Dallas Cowboys were the class of the NFC last season, but after a loss in the Divisional Round, their season definitely ended on a sour note.

The Dallas Cowboys hit the jackpot in the 2016 NFL Draft, selection two players who would go on to dominate the NFL in their first season. First rounder Ezekiel Elliott led the NFL in rushing, while fourth-round quarterback Dak Prescott would go on to win the NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year. Their contributions helped the Cowboys to the best record in the NFC, along with the No. 1 seed in the NFC Playoffs.

All of that winning was for naught, as the Packers went into AT&T Stadium and ended the Cowboys season in the Divisional Round. Still, it was an incredible season for a team whose year looked lost when starting quarterback Tony Romo was hurt during the preseason. Dallas should be solid once again on offense in 2017, but the defense lost some big members of the unit this offseason.

This is the weekly schedule, per NFL.com:

Due to the fact they won the NFC East, the Cowboys will take on some stiff competition in 2017. The good thing for the Cowboys is they will take on most of those tough opponents at home, including a rematch against the Green Bay Packers. They do have to go on the road to play Atlanta, but will play host to the Packers, Kansas City, and Seattle inside AT&T Stadium.

Prescott will be looking to continue his growth at the quarterback position, but the defense may have suffered too many departures to repeat in the NFC East. Three of their four starters in the secondary have moved on from the Cowboys, which could prove troublesome in a division that is loaded at the quarterback position. It will be a tough road to once again have the best record in the NFC, but they should certainly be battling for a division title until the end in 2017.
