According to Wikipedia, Jack Eichel is now the owner, general manager and head coach of the Buffalo Sabres.

The Buffalo Sabres quickly became the internet’s punching bag after firing head coach Dan Bylsma and general manager Tim Murray. This came just a day after Jack Eichel denied claims he had a rift with the two. Naturally, the internet roasted them. Some brilliant genius vandalized the Sabres Wikipedia page, making Eichel the captain, head coach, general manager and owner of the team in the process.

Buffalo’s getting a lot of flack for this, but it’s the right decision in the long run. Kudos to real owner Terrence Pegula for having the courage to fire both. He’ll take a bit of a hit to his wallet because as the owner of the Buffalo Bills, he’s already paying Rex Ryan to not coach. Paying Bylsma to not coach and Murray to not lead the front office has to be tough for him, but it should make the team better in the long run.

While this is a good decision, this puts a lot of pressure on the Sabres. They can’t afford to take another step backward. The Sabres have to nail their next head coach and general manager hires. One possibility could be Buffalo reuniting the Dean Lombardi and Darryl Sutter combo who won two Stanley Cups with the Los Angeles Kings. The two certainly know each other very well and a healthy relationship between the coaching staff and the front office is necessary for success.

Buffalo has been struggling over the past three seasons. Murray just signed an extension in October while Bylsma has three years left on his deal. The Sabres will pay for messing up their hirings.
