Newcastle face Tottenham at St. James’ Park on Sunday, Aug. 13. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The first Sunday of the Premier League season kicks off with a match between Tottenham and Newcastle. After finishing second last year, Spurs look to finally capture an elusive Premier League title. Newcastle were promoted to the Premier League after winning the Championship.

After one season in the Championship, Premier League action returns to St. James’ Park. After scoring 23 goals in the Championship, Dwight Gayle will be the focus of the Magpies attack. Defensively, captain Jamaal Lascelles has shown a lot of potential. However, against Tottenham, Lascelles will be up against the Premier League’s leading scorer Harry Kane.

Over the past two seasons, Tottenham have collected the most points in the Premier League. Last year, Spurs had the best goal differential but still finished a distant second place to Chelsea. In the off-season, Tottenham sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City but have not added a single player. Instead, Spurs will depend on virtually the same team as last year. Offensively, Tottenham will depend on Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son to score goals, with Christian Eriksen providing service. Defensively, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are arguably the best center-back pairing in the Premier League and make scoring goals very difficult for oppositions.
