The Kansas City Chiefs head home to play the Philadelphia Eagles in their home opener inside Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

Week 1 of the NFL season brought a bunch of surprising outcomes, but none bigger than the Kansas City Chiefs win against the New England Patriots on Thursday night. The Patriots came into that game with expectations of an undefeated season, but the Chiefs put that to rest immediately. The Chiefs showed why they were the team to beat in the AFC West last season, and just may be the team to beat in the entire AFC in 2017.

For the Eagles, they come into this game on a high as well, as they are already 1-0 in a very tough NFC East. Philadelphia was able to make easy work of the Washington Redskins on Sunday, coasting to a 30-17 victory. Quarterback Carson Wentz threw for over 300 yards in the game, and tallied two touchdown passes against a very weak Redskins secondary.

One common denominator for these two teams is Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who led the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance. Reid has proven to be one of the more consistent coaches in all of football during his career, and will definitely have some emotions heading into this one. He has a very good team this season, and it could be the year that he finally wins that elusive ring.

Odds

Line: Philadelphia (+5.0)

Over/Under: 47.5

The Eagles are going to be able to move the ball against the Chiefs, but this one should not be a high-scoring affair. Both defenses are opportunistic, which could lead to some big plays the other way. This line and over/under has changed a bit over the past week or so, so head on over to sportsbookreview.com for any changes up until kickoff.

Prediction

This is going to be a one-score game, as both teams could find themselves as division winners by the end of the season. The Eagles are building something special in the city of Brotherly Love, but unfortunately for them, the Chiefs are already there. Kareem Hunt is going to be a difference-maker this season, and he should run wild against the Eagles on Sunday.

Final Score: Chiefs 27, Eagles 21
