Michael Beasley is talking with the media and he just can’t contain his overwhelming and endearing confidence.

Do you know LeBron James’ favorite player? It’s Michael Beasley. You know who Steph Curry modeled his game after? Michael Beasley. Who inspired Russell Westbrook to win the MVP award? Michael Beasley. Who does Kevin Durant defend on his Twitter burner accounts? Still, Kevin Durant. But only because he’s not afraid to defend Michael Beasley on his official account.

Name your favorite player in the NBA. His favorite player is Michal Beasley. And if you don’t believe me, just ask Michael Beasley.

According to ESPN’s Ian Begley, Beasley wasn’t shy when talking about himself and how everyone in the league looks up to him.

"“I’m your favorite player’s favorite player. It’s not enough for me for him to know that. I want the world to know that.”"

Not short on confidence, Beasley went on to say that the quartet of himself, Tim Hardaway Jr., Carmelo Anthony, and Kristaps Porzingis are all gifted enough to score 25 points per game and that the New York Knicks should be a No. 5 or 6 seed in the Eastern Conference.

It’s a little surprising that Beasley wouldn’t proclaim the Knicks as the best team in the league given that they’ll start every game with a 100-0 lead. Also, I think he’s selling the talents of Ron Baker a little short. He’s a 25 points per game guy as well.

It should be noted that Hardaway Jr, Beasley, and Porzingis have never averaged 20 points per game in a season and Anthony hasn’t hit 25 points per game since the 2013-14 season. But let’s not let facts get in the way of Michael Beasley’s confidence.

We laughed when Derrick Rose proclaimed last years Knicks as a super team. But it’s pretty fair to say that, even with the loss of Rose, the additions of Beasley and Hardaway Jr. make the 2017-18 Knicks the NBA’s Justice League.
