Draymond Green has reached out to Kevin Durant to offer advice, amongst other things, to Durant during this tough time.

Draymond Green, as all good teammates should, texted Kevin Durant to support him over the recent Twitter-gate involving dummy accounts. The Warriors big man may have begun to show his soft side. However, he followed up his good samaritan tale in classic Draymond fashion. Draymond discussed the events of the next day and made sure to touch on the fact that he laughed in Durant’s face.

Hold on now. This situation is hysterical, but out of all people, Draymond has no place laughing about things like this. In case Draymond forgot, he has had his fair share of social media mishaps throughout the years as well. Let’s not forget Draymond allowed his Snapchat followers to get up close and personal, posting some NSFW pictures on his story some years ago while traveling with Team USA.

On a more serious note, Durant has spoken about the situation and how humiliated he is. The Twitter-gate has seemingly taken a toll on Durant’s daily life as he’s struggled to sleep and eat. The Finals MVP recently stressed the importance of reminding fans that he has more in common with the average fan than anyone would have imagined. And that’s true. While it is nice of Draymond to consult him, Durant could have gone without the laughing from his own teammates.

With the season less than a month away, Durant’s miscue will be swept under the rug sooner than later. Much like Draymond’s Snapchat incident, this issue will blow over eventually. In a matter of months, social media will have other situations and players to make fun of. Unfortunately, the situation will likely resurface with the recent release of Durant’s shoes that take shots at haters. But, Durant’s legacy is important enough to push this incident to the wayside.
