WWE No Mercy 2017: Cesaro loses teeth after landing on ring post

At the WWE No Mercy pay-per-view, Cesaro took a hard hit on the turnbuckle and lost a tooth or two.

Cesaro and Sheamus battled Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the Raw Tag Team Championship at WWE No Mercy. It’s a rematch of a feud that began before SummerSlam, with Ambrose and Rollins winning the titles. Given WWE’s quick turnaround for superstars that lose championships, this happened at the subsequent pay-per-view.

WWE superstars are prone to cuts or hits to the face that results in blood. It happens periodically, even though commentary rarely acknowledges it. However, what happened to Cesaro was difficult to ignore.

Rollins threw the Swiss Superman into the corner via slingshot, but the latter hit his face into the ring post, which isn’t a soft surface. Superstars often land on this part of the ring and sell the damage, but given all the blood on Cesaro’s face and the tooth (or teeth) he lost, it was legitimate.

Not the best look for Cesaro, who’s guaranteed a trip to the dentist after No Mercy. He’ll get a few false teeth to replace whatever he lost at the show, along with a clean-up from all the blood that poured onto him.

However, given Cesaro credit. He fought through the potential pain and put on an entertaining match with Rollins and Ambrose. It had to be tough, but he put on one heck of a showing, anyway. The same goes for Sheamus, Rollins and Ambrose.

Look for a fresh smile for Cesaro on Raw, something that’s guaranteed to be referenced. That’s along with his loss at No Mercy, which displayed some miscommunication with Sheamus.
