Raw has its first pay-per-view event since SummerSlam when they present No Mercy on Sunday night from Staples Center in Los Angeles. No Mercy is headlined with a match for the WWE Universal Championship. Brock Lesnar along with his advocate Paul Heyman defend the Universal Championship against Braun Strowman, in a match, WWE is promoting as WrestleMania caliber.

The WWE is also promoting a match between John Cena and Roman Reigns as a WrestleMania caliber match. Since Cena joined the Raw roster, he has engaged in a war of words with Reigns. The two will meet inside of the squared circle for the first time in their careers.

In the go home edition of Monday Night Raw, Jason Jordan won a six-pack challenge to become the No. 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. After weeks of running down general manager Kurt Angle for being a poor father, The Miz will defend his title against Angle’s son.

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss lost her title to Sasha Banks at SummerSlam. However, Banks failed to defend her title on the Raw after SummerSlam.
