3 reasons Washington State Cougars will win the Pac-12
2. Washington State’s remaining schedule isn’t difficult
Here’s the second-biggest reason why I think Washington State can win out the Pac-12 conference. Their remaining schedule only features one tough game and that’s the Apple Cup against Washington on Nov. 25.
The Cougars have games against Oregon, Cal, Arizona and Utah on the road. They’ll play Colorado and Stanford at home. If they continue to play the way they have so far this season, they’ll be heavily favored against Oregon, Cal, Arizona and Stanford. Their toughest matchups will probably be Utah and Washington on the road. Those are also the last two games of the season and I think they can matchup well with both of those teams. Having an elite defense, the Cougars can play the Utes or Huskies and compete on any given night.
Obviously, the other teams that have a good chance to win the Pac-12 are Utah and Washington. Utah probably has the toughest schedule remaining out of the three, so I think they’d eventually fall out of the race. It’ll come down to the two in-state teams and if the Cougars can win the Apple Cup, they might have locked themselves a College Football Playoff spot and the Pac-12 conference.
