Arizona State unveils uniform honoring Pat Tillman

The Arizona State Sun Devils will wear a special “Brotherhood” uniform to honor Pat Tillman and the U.S. Military on November 4.

When it comes to the different uniform designs in college football, the Arizona State Sun Devils have had some of the best. Their latest design that will take the field on November 4 against Colorado, will be on that pays the ultimate tribute to both Pat Tillman and those that have served or are currently serving.

Adidas, The Pat Tillman Foundation and Arizona State have teamed up to create the “Brotherhood” uniform. The uniform is designed to honor the legacy of Tillman and the military. The tan uniform that represents the traditional color of the army fatigues and will also feature the Sun Devils’ maroon and gold mixed in as well.

There are many touches to the uniform, but the coolest one is the names on the back of the helmet. The names listed represent every Sun Devil player or coach that has served or is serving in the military.

Arizona State has honored the legacy of Tillman for a while now. His initials and number have been proudly worn on the team’s jersey along with the debut of his statue in the north end zone at the beginning of this season.

The team runs out of the “Tillman Tunnel” before each game while running past his statue. With Veteran’s Day drawing near in November, the game against Colorado is the perfect time for these uniforms to be put on display.

Over the course of his history with the Sun Devils, Tillman and his team had many huge victories over top opponents. This season, the Sun Devils have made habit of knocking off big teams that have come to Tempe in similar fashion. On November 4, they will honor Tillman and all of those that have served with some of their best uniforms yet.
