The Winnipeg Blue Bombers host the Edmonton Eskimos at Investors Group Field on Sunday, Nov. 12. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos both finished the season with 12-6 records. However, the Bombers will host the West Division semifinal after defeated Edmonton in both regular season games between the two clubs. The Blue Bombers enter the playoffs losing three of their last five games. Edmonton’s season started the season with seven straight wins but lost their next six games before finishing the season with five wins in a row.

The Bombers enter Sunday’s games with questions about quarterback Matt Nichols health. Nichols was hurt late in the season forcing him to miss games but is expected to start. However, Winnipeg will be without top receiver and deep threat Darvin Adams. The Blue Bombers will likely lean heavily on rushing champion Andrew Harris as a dual-threat back. In addition to posting 1,035 rushing yards, Harris caught 105 passes for 857 yards. Defensively, the Bombers will go as far as their front four carries them. Despite having three defensive backs being named division all-stars, Winnipeg had one of the worst pass defenses in the league. If the front four can not get pressure, it could be a long day for the home team.

Edmonton quarterback Mike Reilly is the heavy favorite to win Most Outstanding Player after he led the league in passing touchdowns, yards, and rushing touchdowns. Winnipeg’s secondary will be tested by Edmonton’s three all-star receivers, Adarius Bowman, Derel Walker, and Brandon Zylstra. However, the key to success for Edmonton will be running back CJ Gable, who the team acquired late in the season. If the Eskimos have success running the ball with Gable, they can keep Winnipeg offense off the field. Defensively, Edmonton is getting healthy at the right time, after struggling with injuries for most of the season. The Eskimos have built their defense around their defensive line, and need them to get pressure on Nichols and stop Harris in the run game.
