The battered Seahawks hosted the Falcons in an NFC showdown on Monday Night Football. Did Russell Wilson or Matt Ryan lead their offense to victory?

Just before a little break to eat some turkey on Thanksgiving, two different varieties of birds faced off when the Seattle Seahawks and the Atlanta Falcons battled on Monday Night Football in Week 11.

The Seahawks are in the midst of some serious injury troubles, with a ton of serious blows to the Legion of Boom over the last few weeks. With Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor both out of the equation, the Falcons took advantage of the Seahawks’ injuries and annihilated them with their passing game en route to their close 34-31 victory.

There were a ton of highlights to look through in this Monday Night Football matchup, with crazy catches and some trickery filling the four quarters in this one. You can check out some of the action below from the Falcons’ big win:

Three Stars

1. Matt Ryan

The Falcons’ passing game was huge in their big NFC win, albeit against a weakened Legion of Boom, and a big factor in that was obviously having Matt Ryan under center. He threw for almost 200 yards and two touchdowns on the day, including a crazy catch in the end zone by Mohamed Sanu, and led the team in their victory.

2. Julio Jones

With five receptions for 71 yards, Julio Jones was a large piece of that passing success that the Falcons had in the win. He even added a highlight reel catch towards the sidelines as you saw above, proving that he’s actually a receiving robot built for the Falcons to throw to and demoralize defenders with.

3. Tevin Coleman

Tevin Coleman likely could’ve had multiple touchdowns on the night if the Falcons weren’t in full “run the clock out” mode in the fourth quarter, but he still led the team’s rushing attack and found paydirt once early in the game to get the action started for his offense.
