2. Manchester City thrash Newcastle

The late kickoff sees Newcastle travel to the Etihad to face off against a Manchester City side who just experienced their first Premier League loss last weekend. Pep Guardiola’s men were undone by a combination of errors and brilliant play from Liverpool in an enthralling 4-3 game.

This week they have the much easier task of hosting a Newcastle side that are really struggling to find goals. This means City should get right back on a track and maintain their 12-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

The Citizens’ spirit at the end of the Liverpool game, where they reduced the deficit from 4-1 to 4-3, showed that this side will never give up and that will probably give them a lift for this match.

Newcastle are facing a wounded animal and if they’re not careful they could be on the end of a drubbing. However, whether the Magpies defense is really up to the task is questionable.

Manchester City average almost four goals a game at home and they’ve only conceded eight. An early goal could open the floodgates and we fancy Guardiola’s men to dominate this match from start to finish.

It wouldn’t be a big surprise to see the Light Blues notch four or five goals in a performance which will reassert their dominance in the Premier League.
