The Philadelphia 76ers want to go to the Super Bowl, and head coach Brett Brown is open to the idea…if his team keeps winning.

One of the best parts about professional sports in the age of social media is the way that athletes from the same city come together to lift each other up and genuinely delight in every big win for their city. That is definitely the case in Philadelphia, where the 76ers are all in on cheering on the Eagles to the Super Bowl. The NBA schedule had them on the road, but the Sixers have made it clear they want to be in the building in two weeks when the Super Bowl kicks off.

Head coach Brett Brown has no problem with getting his squad to the big game — so long as they meet his own demands.

As far-fetched as it would have been to think of the 76ers winning eight games in a row last season, they have been red-hot in the new year and are currently holding a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Joel Embiid has been healthy, dominant and every part of an All-Star starter. Rookie Ben Simmons has shaken off some December doldrums and looks aggressive driving to the hoop again and has even been shooting a mid-range jumper more frequently.

The 76ers have won seven of their last eight games, with their only loss coming to the Boston Celtics after blowing a 22-point lead. This hot stretch has also coincided with the team receiving a blessing from the Based God, Lil’ B. Things are looking up for the 76ers, and their schedule sets up favorably over the next two weeks. The biggest challenge will be winning on the road in Oklahoma City, but they did take Russell Westbrook and the Thunder to three overtime frames on Dec.15.

The Super Bowl needs Joel Embiid in attendance to continue his excellent sporting year. He was a sensation at the MLB Home Run Derby and was going nuts in a luxury box during the epic Game 5 of the World Series in Houston.

Embiid has emerged as the wildest sports personality on the planet, and we all need him to be there in two weeks when the Eagles try and bring home their first Super Bowl win in franchise history. So, Sixers, eyes on the prize, and just win, baby!
