Bournemouth

Bournemouth, like Newcastle, are in the middle of a relegation battle, even accounting for their stunning deadline day win against Chelsea. Like Southampton, they’re struggling to score goals consistently. Callum Wilson has managed six in 11 starts while summer signing Jermain Defoe has only managed three in nine.

After a five-year stretch full of promotions, survival and celebrations, things are finally looking grim for Eddie Howe’s side.

Unlike Southampton, though, Bournemouth didn’t add one player to their squad this winter. Not even a gamble like Carrillo. Perhaps Howe has faith in Wilson and Defoe and believes his squad will figure things out. For his sake, he better hope they do, because who knows how hard relegation will hit a club that has experienced nothing but good times in recent years.
