High Value SG

CJ McCollum, POR at BOS ($6,500): McCollum’s salary went from $7,900 on Friday against the Raptors to $6,500 against the Celtics. That means he needs 26.8 fantasy points to hit value on Sunday. The Celtics are ninth against the position in their last 15 games, so this is a tough matchup. However, the Celtics are shorthanded and McCollum’s salary is low enough to where he can easily exceed expectations. He should be around 30 fantasy points. ***

Tim Hardaway Jr., NY vs ATL ($6,200): Hardaway Jr. had 26.4 fantasy points against the Bucks on Friday. He needs 25.6 fantasy points to hit value on Sunday. He had 33.1 fantasy points against the Hawks on Nov. 24. I love players against their former teams, which means I love Hardaway Jr. on Sunday. He’s scored 10 total points in his last two games. He’s too good of a scorer to struggle in the same manner on Sunday, especially against the Hawks. He should push 30 fantasy points in this one. ****

Kent Bazemore, ATL at NY ($6,000): Bazemore has been over value in four of his last five. His one miss was a bad one, a 2.5 fantasy point effort against the Wizards where he played just 18 minutes. He’s been hit-and-miss against the Knicks this season. He had 36.4 fantasy points on Nov. 24 at home against New York, but 16.4 fantasy points on the road on Dec. 10. Jordan Clarkson is solid cost saving option if you believe that the Thunder defense playing poorly again. Bazemore has the better matchup and has played better in recent contests. ***
