High Salary PF

Kristaps Porzingis, NY vs ATL ($8,700): Porzingis has missed value in his last two games. He dominated the Hawks on Dec. 10, posting 55.6 fantasy points in that contest. The emergence of Enes Kanter has cut into the value of Porzingis, but he remains the top option on offense. He needs 37 fantasy points to hit value on Sunday. Expect him to jump back over 40 fantasy points in this contest given the matchup and his success against Atlanta this season. *****

Jayson Tatum, BOS vs POR ($6,400): Tatum posted 48.3 fantasy points against the Hawks on Friday. With the Celtics missing key players in Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart, and Marcus Morris, Tatum has been tasked with stepping up. He’s done a good job of doing so thus far, posting strong scoring games and turning into somewhat of a playmaker. Tatum is more shooting guard or small forward than power forward, but is a nice play on Sunday given the weakness of this position and the circumstances. ****

Carmelo Anthony, OKC vs LAL ($6,100): Anthony is well under the average salary, but your options are very limited when it comes to high salary power forwards. The Thunder power forward has missed value in his last two and three of his last four. He’s averaging 34.2 fantasy points in 27 minutes in two games against the Lakers this season. He’s struggled from the field in recent contests, but he’s too good of a scorer to shoot this poorly for long. He needs 26 fantasy points to hit value and that where he’ll likely end up. ***
