Here is how you can watch the Olympics men’s hockey round-robin game between the Czech Republic and Switzerland on TV and by live stream.
The men’s round robin part of the tournament is wrapping up this weekend. The Czech Republic will face off against Switzerland in their third and final game of this round. Both teams will be moving on to the next round, they are playing to earn better seeding in the elimination rounds.
The Czech Republic is surprisingly undefeated so far. In 1998 when the Olympics were held in Nagano the Czech Republic had one
of the largest upsets in Olympic hockey history. They beat Canada, a team full of future Hall of Famers, in a shootout. Fast forward twenty years later to 2018 the Czechs did it again winning 3-2 in a shootout. There was no Wayne Gretzky or Dominik Hasek and it wasn’t in a semifinal game this year, but it still was an upset. The Czech Republic is led by Jan Kovar who has collected four points in two games.
Switzerland has also had a decent tournament so far. They opened with a 5-1 loss to Canada but rebounded well with an 8-0 win against the Republic of Korea. A win against the Czech Republic is key so that Switzerland can skip the first round of elimination games and move into the quarterfinals on a bye. Switzerland offensively is led by Pius Sutter who has three goals in three games. Jonas Hiller is coming off a 25 save shutout of South Korea. Hiller staying on top of his game will be crucial for Switzerland to improve on their ninth-place finish at the 2014 games in Sochi.
