Olympics live stream: Watch women’s individual free skate online

The women’s figure skating event concludes with the free skate program at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Here’s what you need to watch on TV and online.

With the gold medal on the line, the women take to the ice in the final figure skating competition at the 2018 Winter Olympics. After the field of 30 skaters was narrowed down to 24, it’s time to crown the gold medalist after the free skate.

Though she was in the lead most of the event, Bradie Tennell ended up losing her top spot in the second half of the program. Mirai Nagasu fell on her triple Axel attempt but still managed to beat Tennell, and Karen Chen’s Olympics debut put her ahead of Tennell as well.

In the end, though, the top spots went to the Russians, Canadians and the Japanese. Russia occupies the top two spots with Alina Zagitova in first with 82.92, Yevgenia Medvedeva in second with 81.61 and Canada’s Kaetlyn Osmond in third with 78.87. Mirai Nagasu’s 66.93 is good for ninth place, Karen Chen is in 10th place with her 65.90 and Bradie Tennell is just outside the top ten in 11th place with 64.01.

The free skate will be very competitive. The top two Russian skaters will likely be in a fight for gold and silver, with the bronze medal up for grabs from the rest of the field.
