High Salary SF

Kevin Durant, GS vs OKC ($10,300): The Thunder are 22nd against the position in their last 15 games. Durant has missed value in three of his last four. He’s missed value in both contests against the Thunder this season. He needs 44.9 fantasy points to reach value on Saturday. The Warriors are over their midseason lull and that’s bad news for upcoming opponents. Golden State needs victories to keep pace with the Rockets. Durant should be around 45 fantasy points in this contest. If Draymond Green is out, that’s even better for Durant’s value. ***

Jimmy Butler, MIN vs CHI ($9,700): Butler left Friday’s contest early with a leg injury. The X-rays came back negative, which is a good sign, but he will still undergo an MRI. Normally I wouldn’t list him as my assumption is he won’t play, but your high salary small forwards are limited. Given that this is a back-to-back contest, the Timberwolves will likely hold Butler out for precautionary reasons. Then again, this is Tom Thibodeau we’re talking about. If Butler ends up playing, he’s a risk because it’s unknown how comfortable he’ll be on that knee. He can always deliver a big game, so the reward is certainly worth it. Check his status before making any decisions. **

Paul George, OKC at GS ($8,00): George has been great against the Warriors this season, averaging 57.6 fantasy points in two games. He needs 38.4 fantasy points to reach value on Saturday. He’s taken on more of a playmaking role in recent games, which is a great sign for his value moving forward. He’ll continue to put up points and make a handful of defensive plays. The Warriors are ninth against the position in their last 15 games, but George and the Thunder raise their level of play in these games. This one won’t be a blowout, but the stars will shine on Saturday. ***
