The Lone Star State will likely have two teams from the state of Texas and the Big 12 battling for one of the final slots in the field of 68. The beauty of playing in the Big 12 tournament is the opportunity for a quality opponent each game. However, it’s a double-edged sword, where you can easily be one and done, finding yourself in the NIT instead.

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have a tremendous opportunity to improve their resume, with a matchup with Conference USA league leader Middle Tennesee State. If they win out, they will earn a share of the C-USA crown, which would go a long way come Selection Sunday.

Breakdown by Conference (Multiple bids)

 ACC: 9
 SEC: 8
 Big12: 7
 Big East: 6
 Pac-12: 4
 Big Ten: 4
 AAC: 3
 Atlantic 10: 2
 Conference USA: 2
