Ezekiel Ansah rumors: 5 best fits in NFL free agency

2. New England Patriots
Speaking of desirable franchises to play for, how about the dynasty that is the New England Patriots? They may have come up short in Super Bowl 52 but as long as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are together, this team is always contending. It’s a far move to the Northeast for Ansah but one that would significantly improve the Patriots’ pass rush.
The Patriots have an interesting young core of edge rushers. Trey Flowers has posted back to back seasons with at least six sacks and rookie Deatrich Wise Jr. put together a solid season for a fourth-round pick. Not too shabby for a team that didn’t pick until the third-round in the 2017 draft. Ansah would be an upgrade over all the Patriots’ current pass rushers and it’s a move Bill Belichick should highly consider.
Far too often have the Patriots been solely defined by Tom Brady and the offense. It’s time the Patriots commit their resources to the other side of the ball this offseason. After all, defense is what truly wins championships. Just like the Patriots saw Eagles’ Brandon Graham destroy Tom Brady for the game-winning strip-sack in the Super Bowl, there’s always room for improvement.
It would take some adjustments in the cap room department but Bill Belichick could make it happen, there’s no doubting that.
