2. Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming

Why he’s on this list

Has there been a more polarizing draft prospect in the last 10 years than Allen? NFL teams reportedly love his size and arm talent. Draft Twitter hates him so much some have suggested he should be a tight end.

The combine is key for quarterbacks outside of the athletic testing (which isn’t a huge deal). Teams want to find out his personality, his demeanor, how he handles conflict, how he processes and retains information, how much he loves football etc.

What he needs to do

Showing off his crazy big arm during the throwing portion would help, but this is all about the meeting room for Josh. Plenty of teams are already enamored with his physical ability. If he can go in and show poise and equanimity with coaches and GMs, he has a chance to solidify his spot in the top half of the first round.

Allen is a Rorschach test for teams. The teams that love him, will give him every chance to succeed. If he does, a top-10 pick is well within reach.
