Minnesota Vikings: 5 offseason needs
By Brad Weiss
1. Decide on a starting quarterback
Teddy Bridgewater was once considered the franchise quarterback in Minnesota, though a knee injury threatened his career. When Bridgewater went down to injury, the team brought in Sam Bradford, who was their starter in 2016, and for the beginning of 2017. During the 2017 NFL season, Bradford also went down due to injury, and Case Keenum came in and became one of the better signal-callers in all of football.
Heading into next season, the quarterback position is going to be the one with the most eyes on it. Some believe the job will go back to Bradford, as he has the most pure skill of any of the players they currently have. All three players are unrestricted free agents, so it is actually possible that none of them will be on the roster in 2018. Keenum became a hero in Minnesota with his gutsy play last season, and head coach Mike Zimmer may decide to make him the starter for next season as well.

One thing is for sure, this Vikings team seriously overachieved last season. Keenum played out of his mind, and they were able to shake off injuries to some of the better players on their team. If they hope to repeat in the NFC North, they have to get the quarterback situation figured out in a hurry, but they also better make sure they bolster the depth chart, as they have seen what can happen if you are not prepared at least two-deep at the position.
