93. . F. Michigan State. Miles Bridges. 10. player

I’ve fluctuated between several guys landing in Philadelphia throughout the season, and Bridges is an interesting fit having seen an entire season’s worth of shooting improvement.

In a piece over at The Stepien on Thursday, writer Cole Zwicker highlighted the development of Miles Bridges’ shot diversity. Bridges has become a much better pull-up jump shooter this season without losing much of his efficiency shooting on the move. He has a repeatable form, one that allows him to release the ball quickly with a high arc. Perhaps most importantly, he does so as a forward.

Zwicker took a handful of NBA players and used them as archetype comparisons for Bridges. The list includes Jayson Tatum, Harrison Barnes, Otto Porter and Aaron Gordon. That is a list that represents many of the combo forward qualities that make Bridges enticing, with the main difference being that Bridges can fill that role while also being a solid play-maker in space. Not many guys have that combination of shooting and play-making.

Bridges may seem redundant next to Ben Simmons and Dario Saric, but the Sixers’ willingness to play those two next to Robert Covington and JJ Redick at once makes me think they would find ways to creatively use Bridges and find minutes for him.
