3. Chelsea beat Manchester City at the Etihad

The biggest game of the weekend sees Chelsea travel to the Etihad to face off against Manchester City. It’s the latter of two Sunday games and it’s certain to be a cracker with both sides showing great attacking intent.

The Premier League title race is all but over with Manchester City sitting pretty at the top and not looking like relinquishing their lead any time soon. Going into their match with Arsenal on Thursday, City are 13 points clear of Manchester United, who are the closest contenders.

Pep Guardiola’s team could be more than 20 points ahead of Chelsea when they play on Sunday, something that seems unimaginable considering the Blues won the league last year. Antonio Conte’s team are now fighting to stay in the top four and the Italian manager is fighting to keep his job.

There’s no doubt a win over Manchester City could show that Conte is still the man for the Chelsea job. His players were competitive at Old Trafford and perhaps a little unlucky to not get anything out of that match but their performance should give them confidence against City.

Both teams are good going forward and hopefully this means we’ll get plenty of goals in an enthralling encounter that Chelsea just scrape. A win for the Blues would also add a little more excitement to the battle for the top four.
