FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 5, 2018
High Salary C
Andre Drummond, DET at CLE ($10,100): After contributing just 28 fantasy points against the Magic, Drummond bounced back with 59.6 fantasy points against the Heat. He had a monster 72.9 fantasy point effort against the Cavaliers on Jan. 30. The addition of Blake Griffin makes those games less likely, but the Cavaliers will be without Tristan Thompson in this one. Short on frontcourt players, Drummond should have a huge scoring and rebounding game. 50-plus fantasy points should be expected and don’t be shocked if he goes well above that. *****
Rudy Gobert, UTA vs ORL ($9,200): Gobert followed up his 60.7 fantasy point effort against the Timberwolves with 50.4 fantasy points against the Kings. Now, he goes up against the Magic, who rank 27th against centers in their last 15 games. Gobert has been inconsistent all season, but this is a great matchup and he’s dominated great matchups in recent games. Expect another big performance from the Utah center on Monday. ****
Hassan Whiteside, MIA vs PHO ($7,500): Whiteside has missed value in two straight. Prior to that, he had been over value in four straight. He’s been inconsistent all season, hitting value in 50 percent of games. He needs 33.9 fantasy points to reach value on Monday. It’s Phoenix and that’s reason enough to play any opponent. The Suns are also on a back-to-back. He had 48.5 fantasy points against the Suns on Nov. 8, although that game was too early to mean much. He should be around 40 fantasy points given the matchup. ****
