FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 9, 2018
High Value PF
Lauri Markkanen, CHI at DET ($6,300): Markkanen has missed value in three of his last five. But he was within one fantasy point of value in all three misses. He was over 30 fantasy points in both of his hits. The Pistons are 30th against the position in their last 15 games and Markkanen had 36.3 fantasy points against them on Jan. 13. The Pistons are a different squad since then. Markkanen’s consistent play with the ability to produce 30-plus fantasy points combined with the matchup make him a solid bet on Friday. ***
John Collins, ATL at IND ($6,100): The Pacers are first against the position in their last 15 games, but this is a matchup Collins has performed well against all season. He’s averaging 28.3 fantasy points in three games against the Pacers and had 31.4 fantasy points against them on Feb. 28. He needs 25.8 fantasy points to hit value on Friday. Expect another game where Collins is over value as he continues to make the most of his starting opportunity. ***
Markieff Morris, WAS at NO ($5,700): Morris has 34.9 fantasy points against the Heat on Tuesday. No Anthony Davis means Morris is going to have a much easier time on both ends of the floor. As the small ball five, he would have been tasked with checking Davis and dealing with the length of Davis. Now he gets to feast on the defense of Nikola Mirotic. He needs 24.1 fantasy points to hit value and it would not be surprising if he goes over 30 fantasy points. ****
