DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup – March 16, 2018

High Salary Wingers
Alexander Ovechkin, NYI vs WAS ($7,800): If anyone thought that Ovechkin was slowing down or getting old, then they have been proven wrong. The Great Eight continues to show why he is the best scorer of this generation as he leads the league once again in goals with 42. He is looking to break 50 goals for the eighth time in his career and to add a seventh Rocket Richard to his trophy case. Coming off Thursday’s 7-3 win against the Islanders, where he recorded only one assist and only three fantasy points, I would expect the captain to come out hot and strike early against the team with the league’s lowest save percentage. *****
Jamie Benn, DAL vs OTT ($7,100): Just like his linemate Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn has been red hot as of late. He has five points in his last four games, including two against the Leafs (1G, 1A) in a heartbreak 6-5 shootout loss. He has produced just under 10 fantasy points in two of his last four games. I would expect the captain to come out and pick apart an inconsistent Ottawa Senators with his line mates. As stated before, I expect a big night out of the Dallas first line. *****
Alexander Radulov, DAL vs OTT ($6,800): In terms of scoring, Alexander Radulov is the slowest on his line as of right now but realistically any of the three — Seguin, Benn and Radulov — can take over a game by themselves. But what that line does so well is work together, with all three players equally contributing throughout the season, and if one player is slumping the others carry them back. Now, by no means is Radulov slumping, with a goal and an assist in his last three games and 61 points on the season. But, with his linemates playing as red hot as they have been, it’s only a matter of time until he starts seeing the big point nights. ****
High Value Wingers
Mikko Rantanen, NSH vs COL ($6,000): Playing on both even strength and the man advantage with one of the greatest players in the league right now in Nathan MacKinnon is a beautiful thing. Mikko Rantanen is a highly skilled young player who is benefitting very nicely from playing with MacKinnon, and it is showing in his stats. He has 10 points in his last four games (3G, 7A) and is averaging 7.6 fantasy points per game in that time. This includes a four point performance (2G, 2A) against the Blues on Thursday that produced 12 fantasy points. With the Predators coming off the back to back and Jusse Saros getting the start, I expect a big offensive night from the entire Avalanche top unit.*****
David Perron, MIN vs VGK ($5,400): David Perron continues to be one of the nicest turn stories to come out of everyone’s favourite expansion team. He currently has 16 goals and 47 assists including three assists in his last three games. That is a career high for the winger in assists and he is only two goals behind his season total from last season. After the 8-3 loss to the Devils, I would expect a high power rebound against the Wild. With his consistency, consider picking up as a utility player with the minimum expectance of about three to five fantasy points but with the potential to see seven to eight. ****
Gabriel Landeskog, NSH vs COL ($5,200): The Avalanche captain is having himself a fine return to form this year after only recording 33 points last season. He is currently sitting with 52 points in 66 games played (22G, 30A). Just like his linemate Mikko Rantanen, Landeskog is benefitting heavily from getting to play with Nathan MacKinnon both on even strength and on the man advantage. With that being said, he is coming off a three assist, 7.5 fantasy points night against the Blues and will benefit from playing a Predators team on the second half of a back-to-back. ****
