3. He hasn’t won a major since 2008

Who doesn’t love a comeback story? Tiger winning a major for the first time in a decade, and it’s Augusta – a course Tiger has always competed at, winning a green jacket four times previously. But Tiger’s return to greatness is something America has been desperately craving since he attempted his first comeback in 2013.

It’s crazy to think that the Tiger that struggled his way through some brutal golf is actually on the cusp of challenging and potentially winning the Masters. And he’s apparently amped up to win as he just released an article on his own website about himself. Written by himself in the third person, quoting himself. It’s weird, but it might also be one of the biggest power moves ever.

In that article, which you can find here, he explains how he’s grasping this opportunity to compete, as the story almost paints in the light of a fallen god.

"“I got a second chance on life,” he said. “I am a walking miracle.”"

It’s a weird vibe, but it’s pretty hard to feel confident in a dude who is so confident who likened his recovery process to an act of god. Tiger’s got his swagger back.
