1. We want to see him threaten Jack Nicklaus’ majors record

Tiger winning at the Masters would mean more than another green jacket to add to his closest, but it would mean his chances of closing in on Nicklaus’ record 18 major wins becomes legitimate. And that is hard to believe, and even if he wins this weekend, is still highly improbable, but anyone who says they don’t want to see him try is lying.

The 42-year-old was quoted saying he just wants ‘to win’ the Masters because not only would it be historic, it would be proof to himself and the world that he is truly back. He is the world’s top golfer and not a washed up guy whose private life has become anything but over the last decade.

For a man that only ever needed to be a golfer, he hasn’t been able to play the sport that has defined his life. But this is the Masters and he is Tiger Woods, possibly the most perfect pairing in sports.

Tiger is back because he is actually back this time. It’s no fluke, he’s one of golf’s top players and man is it going to be fun watching him fight for another green jacket this weekend. Wouldn’t it be more fun to be rooting for history instead of against it? We think so, at least.
