Kansas City Royals: Trade Lucas Duda to the Colorado Rockies

The Kansas City Royals are struggling big time this season, and they are a long ways away from the team  that went to the World Series two years ago. Losing Eric Hosmer was big for the team, and his replacement, Lucas Duda, is not the answer.

When it comes to this roster, they just have too many holes, and the rest of the division has passed them. They could bring back some good prospects for Duda, who can still hit the ball a very long way.

One team where he would fit nicely is the Colorado Rockies, who have some issues with the first base position. Playing in that thin air inside Coors Field, Duda could hit over 30 home runs for the Rockies this season.

The Rockies also have some solid prospects, who could help  the Royals in a year or  two. That would make this trade beneficial for both teams, as the Rockies are currently a playoff contender with the lineup they already have.

Duda can still hit in spurts, and if he can get hot down the stretch for Colorado, he could carry the team for a week or two.
