Gleyber Torres is the Yankees’ youngest stud

Gleyber Torres has been better than advertised as a 21-year old stud for the New York Yankees.
The New York Yankees have been one of the best teams in the American League this season. They have had a dominant bullpen to go along with a surprising year out of lefty C.C. Sabathia.
Furthermore, the offense has mashed 80 home runs and is composed of the best bats in the league. Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Gary Sanchez have more 10 homers each.
Rookie infielder Gleyber Torres is right on their heels, at nine for the season. He has made history homering in four straight games. The top prospect has been everything as advertised, hitting .333 in 108 plate appearances to boot.
In the wake of Didi Gregorius’s slump, Torres has blown that out of the water. The rookie has overtaken that position this month. But, the club has demoted Ronald Torres, who usually plays second or third base, as the club is getting first baseman Greg Bird back from the disabled list.
With that said, Torres will be headed back to second base for the long term. He has been just another of the guys in this lineup to fear. The Yankees have a formidable lineup and arguably the best in baseball. The club has gotten everything out of its offense. So, New York will keep on mashing baseballs out of the ballpark for years to come.
Gleyber Torres has the tools to be a very special player, and he has shown that so far. He is an exciting player, and just another young stud on the New York Yankees. At 32-15, the club is only a game back of the rival Boston Red Sox for the division lead.
The starting pitching is the Yankees only weakness, as Sonny Gray and Masahiro Tanaka have pitched terrible. Ultimately, the club should go after a pitcher at the trade deadline. With that said, Torres and Co. will keep producing, but the pitching needs an upgrade. Furthermore, the Yankees have a plethora of prospects to deal from still.

They were right to hold onto Torres, as he is a complete stud. It’s exciting to think that he’s not even at his best right now, as he’s only 21. So to think that there is still a lot in the tank is pretty cool. There are a ton of young studs in MLB, and Torres is one of the best now.
