The NHL has got to be trolling us now with its concert choices

On Wednesday, it was announced that musical group Panic! at the Disco would be putting on a special performance before Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final Thursday night. Heads are exploding, and we think the NHL has it out for us.

In the famous words of NFL head coach Jim Mora, “You kiddin’ me?!” Stop it, NHL. You’re going too far right now. At first it was slightly hilarious, though confusing, when Imagine Dragons was pinged to perform before Game 2 in Las Vegas. It came off as a bad choice but a forgivable one since we all make mistakes.

Then, uh, Fall Out Boy was the featured artist before Game 4 in Washington. Oh…okay? Not sure why you’d do this to us. Getting a little worried but I guess we’ll take the jabs because we love you or something?

For Game 5? It was announced that we get a full plate of Panic! at the Disco.

Dear NHL, who hurt you?

This has to be a level of trolling none of us have yet to experience. It’s an astronomical level of trolling and the NHL knows it. You know how we know they know it? Because somebody is subjecting fans to these performances while at the same time setting them up further and further away from civilization. Just enough to still force passersby to listen.

Imagine Dragons performed inside T-Mobile Arena. Fall Out Boy was outside the arena in Washington. And Panic! at the Disco? The Bellagio Fountains. That’s 1.6 miles away from T-Mobile Arena, but within range for walking fans to want to scream into a pillow while making the trek to the game.

At FanSided, we love to make suggestions, so here are a few for Game 6 if it happens: Literally nothing. Take a break, and leave 2005 where it belongs.
