The Baltimore Ravens will host the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1 of the preseason following the Ravens Hall of Fame game on Thursday, August 9. Here is how to watch this preseason game online.

As the month of August unfolds, so does the NFL preseason, leading us closer and closer to the official start of the NFL season.

This Thursday, 12 games will be in action, including two franchises that are poised to have some success in the upcoming season, the Ravens and Rams.

Kickoff from M&T Bank Stadium in the Charm City on Aug. 9 will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. WBAL will have the local broadcast in the Baltimore market. CBS affiliate KCBS will have the broadcast in the Los Angeles area. For live streaming, look to NFL Game Pass and FuboTV to provide said service.

As mentioned, both of these teams are set up for success in 2018, but they also have their fair share of buzz, too.

For the Ravens, the elephant in the room is quarterback Lamar Jackson, who completed 4-of-10 passes for 33 yards, culminating in a touchdown pass and an interception while also running eight times for 25 yards in the Ravens Hall of Fame game victory over the Chicago Bears, 17-16.

The presence of Jackson has perhaps made incumbent starting quarterback Joe Flacco feel some pressure as he’s saying he doesn’t plan on hearing anything about Jackson replacing him because he plans to win, according to Childs Walker of the Baltimore Sun.

The Rams are coming off an incredible 11-5 season, though they were unable to get past the Atlanta Falcons in the Wild Card game.

Chalk it up to inexperience or the big stage, but whatever the case, it doesn’t matter now and they’ll be in a position to do similar things this year.

However, one thing that could impact the Rams and/or quarterback Jared Goff more directly is the loss of current Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur after just one season with the team.

LaFleur was instrumental in helping Goff put up a season in which he threw for 3,804 yards and 28 touchdowns to just seven interceptions.

Of course, it helps to have running back Todd Gurley on your side, too, but it will be intriguing to see how the team deals with the loss of LaFleur—they have not signed or promoted anyone to fill the role.

Either way, this will be a game in which we will probably see more of Jackson, though it may not be for long.

dark. Next. Lamar Jackson clearly a work in progress

For the Rams, keep an eye on quarterback Luis Perez in this game. He’s a little-known Division II quarterback from Texas A&M Commerce but has more intrigue surrounding him than his backup counterparts Sean Mannion and Brandon Allen.
