No. 9 Mike Wallace, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

While Torrey Smith was a nice fit for the Eagles offense, Mike Wallace represents an upgrade as far as talent is concerned. He’s not just a speed receiver as he has developed into a solid route runner over the years.

Wallace will be the team’s No. 3 receiver but will see plenty of action. He’ll especially see more snaps early in the year while Alshon Jeffery recovers from injury.

It would make a ton of sense for the Eagles to get Wallace involved early so he has an established role when Jeffery returns. Wide receivers are known as divas for good reason and Wallace is no different. Developing some confidence early in the year could propel him to a big year.

Wallace is someone you may need to add via the waiver wire after week one. He could have a big game against the Atlanta Falcons and spur heavy action. In fact, he’s worth a flyer prior to the start of the year if you have room on your bench.

This isn’t the type of addition that could win you your league, but it could help you get off to a fast start. The Eagles will need to find someone to give the targets Jeffery would have received.
