Spain host Croatia in the UEFA Nations League at the Manuel Martinez Valero Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

After their 2-1 defeat of England on Saturday, Spain will measure up against World Cup runners-up Croatia.  For whatever it’s worth, the revamped Spain team looked quite sharp, using a more direct approach than the various forms of tiki-taka we have come to expect since La Roja’s 2010 World Cup win.

Croatia are undergoing significant personnel changes of their own, as veteran Mario Mandzukic has retired from the national team, while forwards Ante Rebic and Andrej Kramaric are out injured. The Croats are coming off a 1-1 tie against Portugal. Ivan Rakitic looks set to feature in the starting lineup after being rested against Portugal on Friday.

The two teams last met at Euro 2016 when Croatia came away with a 2-1 win after overturning Spain’s lead.

Playing in a small venue in Elche — a site that rarely gets to host Spanish national team games — should confer the hosts a more significant, more intimidating home-field advantage than the usual atmosphere of a pseudo-friendly game played in the larger, cavern-like stadiums. The Spanish team also has the youth and momentum factors on their side following the away win at Wembley. Look for Spain to squeeze out a narrow win.
