A look at the full match card, start time, live stream information and more for the 2018 edition of WWE Hell in a Cell.

The 2018 edition of WWE Hell in a Cell is upon us and the card is shaping up decently. I do find it a little strange that instead of the WWE Championship match taking place inside the structure, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton are taking that spot, but that could lead to some interesting spots, I suppose. The other Hell in a Cell match set for Sunday night is the WWE Universal Championship showdown between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. Both sets of tag titles are on the line, as are both women’s titles, and there’s likely to be a switch or two in San Antonio. There are a few big names missing from the match card, such as United States champion Shinsuke Nakamura, but there’s certainly plenty of star power on the show. There are a few things I’m not crazy about, which you’ll see below, but this has the chance to be a good night.

Here’s a look at everything you need to know for the 2018 edition of WWE Hell in a Cell.

Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse

“As long as we don’t get the mixed tag that nobody wants to see, I’m good.” That was the line I wrote in my SummerSlam review last month after the one-on-one bout between Daniel Bryan and The Miz. I guess nobody in WWE was listening to me.

Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell Match)

So Jeff Hardy is gonna die, right?

RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose

Hmmm … I wonder if this is a way to get titles on every member of The Shield. Or two in Seth Rollins’ case.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. Rusev Day

Just when it looked like Rusev and Aiden English were going to split, they earned a title shot this past week on SmackDown Live. A short title run could be fun but there’s certainly the possibility of English costing them the match, which could cause the inevitable breakup. Oh yeah, The New Day are here, too.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch

Is everyone else loving this new edge to Becky Lynch as much as I am? It’s hard to completely call it a full heel turn with everyone seemingly cheering her on in this rivalry with Charlotte Flair, but that’s the wrestling world we live in these days. I think this program continues all the way to Evolution at the end of next month, so that may mean that Lynch finally wins back the title she’s been chasing for two years.

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Alexa Bliss

There’s essentially zero chance that Alexa Bliss wins back the RAW Women’s Championship but I’m at least hoping for her to get in a little bit more offense than she did at SummerSlam. They’re going to play up that Alexa has a shot with Rousey having the “bruised ribs,” so this shouldn’t be a one-sided affair. However, Bliss is set to take on Trish Stratus next month at Evolution and it looks as if Ronda Rousey is headed for a showdown with Nikki Bella (yawn), so this is likely the last match between these two for a while.

WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe

Why this match isn’t taking place within the confines of Hell in a Cell is beyond me. This has been one of the most personal and intense programs in quite some time and the cell plays right into that intensity. I know this is still going to be a great match — it is still AJ Styles and Samoa Joe — but this is a missed opportunity.

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman (Hell in a Cell Match)

Outside of trying to hype up a special on the WWE network immediately following the pay-per-view, there’s really no reason for Mick Foley to be the special guest referee, but that’s a thing. I know this is the 20th anniversary of the classic with The Undertaker but he’s not going to be taking any bumps so there’s nothing to get excited about. As for Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, these two have had some classic and physical encounters in the past and this shouldn’t be any different. I don’t see Braun walking away with the title here as I think his time comes down the line and this new thing they’re doing with him enlisting help doesn’t make much sense anyway. But this should still be fun. I’m expecting some sort of swerve finish, possibly involving Bray Wyatt.
