Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons – $6,600

Matt Ryan has been on a tear the last three weeks averaging 355 passing yards and 3.3 touchdowns per game. After facing a tough Philadelphia defense in Week 1. Matt Ryan has shredded every defense that has come his way. In Week 5 Ryan gets a crack at Pittsburgh’s 30th-ranked defense and 29th against the pass.

Ryan who has faced criticism from many analysts for last season’s overall performance, has since silenced the noise. The Atlanta Falcons haven’t won every game but there’s a lot of optimism to build upon given Ryan’s resurgence as a possible MVP candidate.

Ryan through four games has passed for 1,316 yards, 10 touchdowns and completed 99 passes on 145 attempts. Ryan has a 68.28 completion percentage, adding 43 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Ryan overall has averaged 329 passing yards, 2.5 touchdowns, 24.75 completions and only .5 interceptions per game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense has been absolutely atrocious through four games. They have allowed 420.5 total yards, 304.8 passing yards, 115.8 rushing yards and 29 points per game. The Steelers haven’t found rhythm on offense either. The lack of Le’veon Bell has forced Ben Roethlisberger to throw early and often.

Ryan and the Falcons look to be in another shootout this week. In Week 4, the Falcons lost in the last seconds of regulation against the red hot Cincinnati Bengals 37-36. Ryan and Co. will have to have the same resolve on the road in Pittsburgh if they want to come away with a much needed win.

Prediction: 400 passing yards, 3 touchdowns
