WR: Keke Coutee, Houston Texans

Keke Coutee came into Week 5 as a smart fantasy football addition on the waiver wire, because he was a relative unknown for most fantasy owners who broke out with 11 receptions in a last-gasp win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Though Coutee failed to garner nearly as many looks from quarterback Deshaun Watson in a much more stagnant game against the incompetent Dallas Cowboys passing attack, Coutee did grab his first touchdown reception of the season.

Despite coming into the game as a game-time decision with a hamstring injury and nearly exiting with a concussion, Coutee dropped 51 receiving yards on 6 receptions against the Cowboys, only failing to haul in one target.

Coutee is one of the most reliable players on the Texans right now, and he gives Watson a fearsome wide receiver trio. DeAndre Hopkins is the superstar and Will Fuller is the playmaker, but Coutee looks like a real X-Factor in the Texans offense and somebody worth adding in all formats.

In college, Coutee was Patrick Mahomes’s pass-catcher with the most NFL potential, and the 2018 fourth-round pick sure looks like a rising star. The Texans passing attack has enough volume to support Coutee, especially if Lamar Miller continues to struggle with injury woes. Alfred Blue and a returning D’Onta Foreman (Week 7 is his anticipated return date) are hoping for some looks, but Coutee’s work in the passing game is honestly doing more to move the chains for the Texans steadily improving offense.
