Fantasy Football, Week 8: Best lineup with start/sit advice
By Dylan Broady
Marlon Mack, Indianapolis Colts
Stats: 249 rushing yards, 1 touchdown, 39 receiving yards, 1 touchdown (2 games)
Marlon Mack has sparked a stagnant running game the past two weeks. He has provided balance on an offense that saw Andrew Luck have the most passing attempts and completions through 7 games of a season. Mack has only played two full games and in those two games has been dynamic. The Indianapolis Colts are very happy to have him back.
Just when you thought the Colts were dead in the water, they came to life against a very poor and talent depleted Buffalo Bills team. Week 7 is exactly what the Colts needed as a whole. They executed in every facet of the game. Their defense with newcomer Mike Mitchell absolutely dominated the Bills offense. LeSean McCoy went down on the first drive with head and ankle injuries. Not to mention Derek Anderson started under center.
Mack’s production will only go up from here. The sky is the limit. He has looked dominate in each game since coming back from injury. He’s a proven backfield threat. In fantasy football if you don’t have him and need a solid high floor option, go trade for Mack! The Colts do employ a three headed monster. Mack is the clear leader and will get the most out of each and every week.
Week 8 boasts a wonderful matchup for Mack. The Oakland Raiders are 27th-ranked against the rush this season. What are you waiting for? Go get this guy and balance out your fantasy squad. I’m sure there’s a wide receiver or two you can part ways with. Mack is trending up. There’s no doubt the Colts will employ their best back on the field week in and week out. Grab him up and don’t second guess yourself.
Prediction: 85 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards, 2 total touchdowns
