Defense/Special Teams

Chicago Bears vs New York Jets  – $4100

The Chicago Bears defense is still riding the beginning of the season wave. For the past three games they have struggled, albeit against some strong offenses. If there was ever a week for the unit to get back on track this is it. They play a turnover prone rookie quarterback with a banged up running back corps and an offensive line that has been shaky all season. Khalil Mack and company are rightfully atop the pricing this week.

Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers – $3200

The NFC West showdown in the desert against the 49ers and Cardinals may be the least watched game on a national level. That did not stop the good folks at DraftKings from ranking the Cardinals as the second highest price defense this week. The Cardinals still have talent on the defense with Patrick Peterson and last year’s sack leader Chandler Jones. In fact Arizona is the ninth highest scoring fantasy defense this year. Be careful here though with Peterson’s trade request possibly causing waves in the locker room.

Value Defense/Special Teams

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos $2600

Aside from how dominant the Chiefs offense has looked this season, the defense has been getting trashed. Kansas City had a strong performance last week against the Bengals on Monday Night Football. There is talent on that side of the ball, better than the numbers show. This week against Case Keenum and the Broncos, that may benefit fantasy players. Keenum is second in the NFL in interceptions and the Broncos offensive line is a weak spot. If Dee Ford, and Justin Houston can attack the pocket, Keenum is mistake prone. This is a big savings and could provide massive value.
