Jared Cook, Oakland Raiders, $5,000

Stats: 400 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns

Jared Cook had a down week against the Seattle Seahawks, as did the entire Oakland Raider offense. In Week 8 they have a great matchup opportunity against a Indianapolis Colts defense at home that has allowed 374 yards per game. Cook has had a stellar season in 2018. He is averaging 66 yards and five receptions a game.

This is the perfect matchup for Cook and the Raider offense to get back on track in front of their home crowd Sunday afternoon. The Colts have been a great matchup for teams needing a bounce back week on offense. Cook comes at a good price as well. He’s also the fifth most expensive tight end for this juicy Week 8 matchup. Did I mention he’s leading the entire Raiders offense in receiving yards and receptions?

With an offense lacking true star power after not re-signing Michael Crabtree and then recently trading Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys, Cook is a great weapon to utilize in your daily fantasy lineups. Cook will find the end zone again in Week 8. This game has every sign of being a shootout. Both defenses are mediocre at best and both of these offenses have enough weapons to make the game interesting. Don’t sleep on this one.

All in all Cook has been a very reliable weapon that has produced for this offense week in and week out. He currently ranks fifth in yards and receptions among tight ends. His two scores are 7th-ranked and his targets also come in at seventh best at his respective position. We think Cook can give you some great upside and unique lineup options for his potentially great Week 8 matchup.

Prediction: 85 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
