Week 8 of the NFL season features some really intriguing matchups for fantasy football purposes; including two top-tier quarterbacks going head to head.

One of the more entertaining matchups on the entire NFL schedule takes place this weekend. There will be plenty of fantasy football implications when the Los Angeles Rams face the Green Bay Packers.

The biggest storyline in this game is the matchup between the two quarterbacks. Both Aaron Rodgers and Jared Goff have had strong seasons and are looking to make a statement.

This game also features some major fantasy players at other positions including Todd Gurley, Brandin Cooks and Davante Adams. The quarterback play will have a direct impact on how these other players perform.

In this article, I throw my hat in the ring of one of these quarterbacks who I suspect will have a huge game.

The rest of Week 8 features some opportunities for breakout performances. It’s possible we see the San Francisco 49ers find some clarity at the running back position. There’s also an opportunity for a young Saints wide receiver to step up.

Last week, my bold predictions didn’t really hit the mark. The one where I was on point was Kerryon Johnson having a big game. He had the most rushing yards of any back in Week 7 by topping the 150-yard mark.

Johnson was also able to keep his incredible yards per carry mark above six yards. He’s quickly becoming a fantasy football force with more big games likely on the horizon.
