Fantasy Football, Week 9: Best lineup with start/sit advice
By Dylan Broady
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
Stats: 642 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns
Travis Kelce is arguably the best tight end in the league and the most consistent. Kelce plays on an offense that averages 425 yards per game. His volume is second-ranked across the board among tight ends. Kelce averages 80 receiving yards, five receptions and eight targets per game. Kelce is a must-play based on target volume alone.
Kelce in Week 8 against the rival Denver Broncos delivered another solid performance. Catching six of 10 balls for 79 yards and a touchdown. In today’s NFL the tight end has become a very important piece of the offensive puzzle. Every team relies on at least one every game to make big plays down the field. Which is why Kelce’s skill set is so important.
All in all the Chiefs have been one of the best offensive teams all season. Kelce needs to be played in every game no matter the opponent. It’s usually risky to stack players from the same team in your lineups. But in this case we have a huge exception for the obvious reasons. Kelce plays on a high-powered offense, his quarterback is elite, and his surrounding teammates are all playmakers.
If you don’t have Kelce on your team go and get him. He can provide your offense with big dividends going forward. Not to mention Week 1 Kelce was dealing with some injuries. If not for that week, it’s very possible we would be talking about how he is leading the league among all tight ends right now.
Prediction: 90 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
