Tight End: Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers

vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sunday 1:00pm

FanDuel Cost: $6,200

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like every year the Carolina Panthers fly under the radar until it’s late in the season and they’re in the playoff mix. This year has the same feel as the Panthers find themselves just a game behind the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South.

Greg Olsen’s return from injury has been a major factor in the Panthers success. His a true safety blanket for Cam Newton and his most reliable pass catcher.

Carolina has been trying to get others involved in the passing game, but Olsen will always be a part of the game plan. He has been especially effective in the red zone over the years and that hasn’t changed.

Backup Option: Austin Hooper, Atlanta Falcons

@ Washington Redskins, Sunday 1:00pm

FanDuel Cost: $5,900

Austin Hooper has finally emerged as a fantasy relevant tight end. The young pass catcher has tons of raw talent but has just started to become more involved in the Atlanta Falcons offense. Over the past three game he has seen a total of 26 targets.

Opposing defenses still focus most of their attention to shutting down Julio Jones which has created favorable matchups for Hooper. That trend should continue this week against the Washington Redskins.
